How NOT to Choose Bad Acne Skin Care Products

Learn Simple Tips
To AVOID
Choosing Bad Acne Skin Care Products

Surely choosing any type of health related product one should be very careful. But with acne skin care products this issue become two, three and more times important. Acne is already causing certain problems to the health of the skin; hence, the wrong product can make this situation even worse.

Before we go to the tips of choosing the right kind of acne skin care problems, just read the list of what the wrong products can do:

  1. Wasted money - in the less problematic scenario the product will not affect the skin, but will also give no benefit at all. As a result of it the money spent on the product can be fairly considered to be wasted.
  2. Wasted time - the same scenario of least problems, but with another important detail. Acne skin care problem should help, because the longer pimples stay on the skin - the more difficult it is to cure them without scars being left. This is not to say that every second is golden, but the truth is not far from it. So, meanwhile one is using a no-help product the time is ticking away.
  3. Additional damage - skin with acne needs help, not some extra problems. This skin is less healthy and more open to the problems. As a result of it the wrong product can result in everything: allergy, engravation of the acne, new problems, etc.

This post outlines the possible problems not for the sake of scaring the reader, but to make this reader more serious in the choice of acne skin care products.

And these tips will help to avoid the traps:

  • Make sure it’s acne.

Yes, make sure. People know the word acne very well and think that every type of pimple is acne. WRONG! There are at least several skin diseases that can look like acne, but they are not. Only qualified specialist can tell it, and only after some tests and examinations are done.

So, get the medical tests done and KNOW THE DISEASE.

  • Professional advice.

It is highly probable that the specialist will recommend good treatments - following the advice of a doctor can be a good start :) If you have found other products, consult the doctor. It is always better to double check.

  • Call the vendor.

If possible, call the vendor (email is an option but it can take more time). Tell about your problem and diagnose and ask if the product is for this case. Record the call in audio, and notify the vendor of it - no pushing, but it really makes vendors to be more responsible with the words.

  • Test in small portion.

This is not a big brainer, but many people forget about it. If this is the new product - take a tiny portion and apply it. In case of, God forbid, any problems one would feel a lot better than having tested the big load of it.

Autism Explained - New Visions Set

Autism - New Danger?

The trend for more kids to have autism makes the society worry if this is a new threat to the health of the young nation coming with it.

Surely autism is not something that was noticed just a while ago, many parents are trying to focus public’s attention on this problem and demand from the scientific society to find explanations and solutions to this problem. As any big problem autism created many trends in explaining the problem and its reasons.

For example, ultra sound diagnosis at early stages of pregnancy are rumored to create a possible effect of autism on the kids. Gender “curse” as out of 5 kids diagnozed autism statistically there are 4 boys and 1 girl, and so on and so forth. Add to this cases when some kids have been thought to be autistic, whereas in reality they just head the hearing problems and could not interact socially.

These informational puzzles create a real mess in the heads of people instead of showing them the way out.

To clear the picture and shift away the scary stigma from autism. Let’s have a look at 3 major theories that try to explain autism.

Theory of Mind

Within the framework of this theory every human being is capable of understanding what thoughts or ideas trigger people to do some actions. This gives us a pocibility to “foresee” these actions and act adequately. For example, you are at the cross roads waiting for the greet traffic light, you know that a person next to you is standing and also waiting for the same light to cross the street. Hence, you can “foresee” that when the light is green, he or she will start crossing the street. No big magic. But having that in mind you would not put let’s say a suitcase right in front of this person, because you know that when the light gets green he/she will go forward and will need to step over it.

Still, let’s be frank - we can only suppose that we know what is inside the mind of another person, based on our experience and logics. In reality the mind of another person is a black box for us.

Autistic people cannot make predictions of what another person will do in standard situations. This makes them not well adopted to many routine situations in life. But still, maybe they are not that incorrect being unable to foresee the actions of other people?

Executive Function

Whenever we do something routine, we are a little above the thing. We see our actions as the line of things to do that will give us some results. Autistic children tend to get dissolved in the process - they just do and do and do and this doing become everything for them. Perhaps, it is possible to say that they do just for doing instead of trying to find sense why they are doing so.

That is why a typical picture of a kid with autism is a kid that “got stuck” on the same action - line of toys, one and the same symbol on the paper, etc.

But then let’s put up a question to ourselves. Are we really better because we do something for a purpose? No. We are just different. Which makes the issue of standards pretty lame with autism.

Central Coherence

We see ourself as part of the bigger picture: I go to the office because I need to do a job because I need money because I need to have food, clothes and place to live, because, because, because. Once again, we can say that people who do not have autism can for a split of a second get above the situation like they show in the movies of zooming out picture and end up with the whole globe seen from the satellite.

Kids with autism do not do like this. They are living exactly in this very moment. Yes type of living causes them many problems in our society where we expect others to understand what is going on.

Summary.

The idea behind this post was simple. Try to show how different theories understand autism and show that autism is an issue of other standards of social behavior - different from our. But as you can see, even logically we can make a conslusion - autism is not a stigma, they are not stupid of absent minded. They are just different in some issues.

Maybe this is the key to the problem?

Diabetes Diet - You Should Know This

Build Healthy Diabetes Diet
With These Professional Tips

With diabetes one needs to be extremely careful with food. Even more, diets for people with pre-diabetes and exisiting diabetes can be very different.

The idea that there is one diet that can fit anybody is a myth, that is why do not get into trap of an inappropriate advice - please remember that no single diabetes eating plan is working for everyone.

A really professional and competent advisor in this situation would be experienced nutritionist who will build a special customized diet that will take into account weight control, blood sugar level, blood pressure and other factors.

This article can give some brief guidelines recommended by American Diabetes Association Diet professionals.

  • Pre diabetes diet.

Those who are just at risk of having diabetes, but are not currently suffering from the disease should focus on high fiber foods, whole grains, nutritient rich foods (the nutritional value of this food is high compared to the caloric value).

  • Problems controlling the blood sugar.

A good advice for anyone is to avoid Fad diets. Weight can “get lost” quickly, and then “comes back” shortly after. Don’t mix up the diet diabetes plan with the “lose as much as possible weigh” - these are absolutely different goals.

  • More fish.

Fish is quite helpful for diabetes diets because of the omega-3 long-chain fatty acids (though fish is not the only alternative - other nutrients, botanicals and herbs that can help with blood sugar control).

  • Cholesterol level.

Your task is to limit the cholesterol intake to less than 200 mg/day.

  • Existing diabetes.

For people with existing diabetes these tips would help: more carbohydrates from fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes, less than 7% of total calories should be comeing from saturated fat, avoid trans fats, low fat milk, two servings of baked or broiled fish per week, eat fiber rich foods.

It Looks like Acne - Is It?

You will be surprised but what can be looking like acne, is actually not acne, but rosacea. They are different, and should be treated in a different way.

Basically it is possible to talk about four general types of rosacea.

  1. Erythematotelangiectatic rosacea.People who have this type seem to be blushing. The face looks as if it is flushed with color or blood. Even small blood vessels can sometimes be seen via the skin. In addition to this a person may experience a burning or itching feelings.
  2. Phymatous rosacea. This type of acne causes the nose to become larger as its skin is getting thicker and redder, and the same can happen to the chin.
  3. Ocular. As it obvious from the name of this acne type, it is affecting person’s eyes and eyelids. Eyes can get gritty and red.
  4. Papulopustular rosacea. This type is typically misconcepted to be acne. It is about red bumps (called papules), on the skin. This type of rosacea usually depicts a more advanced stage of rosacea. You can see its difference from acne like this - if it is a chronic condition, building from the blushing and flushing stage to the point where burning and tingling sensations are happening in the face and other symptoms are present.

TIPS:

  • The best treatment - slow the progress of the condition. This can be achieved via wearing sunscreen everyday, limiting the amount of time in the sun, not drinking caffeinated hot drinks, and knowing what triggers can cause an outbreak.
  • Keep a diary where you list the activities and foods that were eaten. Hence, you will be able to sort out what causes problems and avoid these things in the future.
  • Read the ingredients and test a small patch of skin before using new creams and medicines.
